A Christmas Licking

Mixing these 2 phenomenons was fun because it involved 2 very different things. One is a very serious farmer, and the other is just a childish kid. This is funny to me because it looks like the kid is having just an awful time licking  this farmer. The farmer doesn't seem to be enjoying it either.

Strange Street Signs

These signs were fun to do because of the creativity it involved us to use. I think my favorite on was the high score one because it involved a bit of thinking to understand. I also like the merge left one because it looks very realistic. The top infinite speed one I like as well because it was something that I saw no one else in the class do.

Jimmy Neutron Statue
This is a statue that had similar hair to Jimmy Neutron, so i put his hair on it. It was a very challenging thing to do because his hair did not match even close to what it was supposed to do. I had to cut, copy, form, dull, lighten, darken, and it still did not work out how i wanted to. I wish i had another day to work on it but I think i did alright for the short time that i had.

Squid Gif
This gif took longer than I though, the longest part would be making sure the brain type thing out of his head was making a complete size difference. It was fun to be creative and different because you could take this project anywhere you wanted to.

Rattle Snake and Sun Flowers
We made pictures that were a combination of 2 words. My words were Rattle Snake and Sun Flowers. The pictures are very satisfying to me because they display very well what they are supposed to be. The best thing about these pictures are that they are simple, but yet fun and creative at the same time.

JACKIE TAN

This is a parody of the book, Jackie Chan, whick I remade into Jackie Tan. Along with the name, I also used the burn tool to make Jackie look tanner and the backround color so that he did not blend in.

Horse Zebra

Today I made the Horse - Zebra. The invention is that it is a horse, with stripes, so that it looks like a zebra, but is in fact, a horse. This was a very fun thing to do because adding the mask was a different thing to do and it can be added to tons of different things to add many different effects.

Living Trash
I like this Living Trash Can. I could have done more with his eyes, but I like it otherwise. The trash inside the mouth was fun to do to cut it out in the right shape, and make it look like it is inside the trash can. I also had to shape the trashcan, and completly open the lid and can to make it look like an opening mouth.

Hat and Frisbee GIFs
This were fun to do!! What i learned is that you have to take many many pictures for the movement to look real... I did not take enough as you can see. Also a big part is that the camera cannot move, because it makes it look like the person is moving as well.

Frog Stencils
I enjoyed to do these frog stencils, from using the symbol spray can feature. After spraying the symbols, I recolored them, rotated them, changed the size of them, and also the spacing on them.My favorite part was to make the initial colors on the frogs. I feel successful on these because of the different colors that are incorporated into all of the different frogs

2D Badges
I like to do these 2D badges because they took a lot of creativity, with the different shapes, gradients, and "reflections". My favorite one is the pinkish one because of the shape in the back with the cut outs. I felt successful with most, except for the green and yellow, because I feel like it doesn't... flow as well as well as the others do.

Logos
This Logos was very fun to do. They were very fun to do because it took lots of creativity. The colors made a huge difference because it made it look 3D. Also, different letters to use made the logos have a more fun center, also a cooler design. My favorite was the top left one, with the "S" because it looks the most 3D.

FLOWER AND DUCK

The flower was a ton of fun to do, because of the bloat and pucker tool. It was so simple but made such an impact on the image that was once a star.
The duck was NOT fun. I did not enjoy doing the duck. The pen tool was sooo frustrating to use, so I ended up quitting so it was no perfect...

Different Activities: Different People

I am very proud of this drawing. The characters (Deshawn and Wai-Ping) took forever to draw on the iPad. I tried to have a background that incorporated the activity that the character was playing. This ties the covers together and shows somewhat about what the book will be like and also the mood of the book. My design reflects the theme of the book by having a background that shows the activity of the character. The activities are studying and playing basketball. That is why I chose a court and library for the backgrounds. The font on the Study book shows a little bit of knowledge, because it is neat handwriting. The moods of the book would be stressful, because the characters have a problem to fix, but by the end of the book they finish the problem and it is all relieved.

The Nature Store Girft Cards

This week we had to make different gift cards for a store that we were to make up. The store I make up was the "Nature Store". 2 of the cards were a very outdoors theme, of different sports. One of climbing and one of hiking. The other two were a more artsy theme, with a tree on one and leaves and grass on the other. All of the cards have the name of the store on them because that is what almost all cards have, and some have a saying on it as well, such as ,"Get Your Gear Here," telling the custormer more of what they sell.

Muscle Men

This "Muscle Men" piece was fun to do because it involved a lot of freedom to do anything! I like the contrast of green and red, and also the black and white. The black and white on time of each other is a cool looking and a kind of mind bender.

Surf Style

The thing I like most about this Merduck magazine cover is the Merduck itself. I think that adding these two characters was creative and it came out great. The biggest thing I learned from this piece is how to edit text to make it POP more. The stroke to the text makes a big difference. Also changing the text color to a color out of the picture. One thing that worked about this is how the stories fit together with the picture. My overall thought on this piece is positive because I think that all of the colors and pictures and stories fit together well, altogether making it a nice looking piece.

Darial! Donald and Ariel
This is a mixed photo of Donald Duck and Ariel the Mermaid. I like this photo because of the thought I put into the photo. I think it is fairly creative and took some time. The fact that he is holding a surfboard is perfect for this picture because it is more ocean - like.

Using the Pen Tool
Using the pen tool was fun and easy. It was fun to use because if was seen as instant gratification. You could see the letters turn on the words instantly and it made the piece make that much better. This tool would be perfect for introducing people in movies and in TV shows.

Fonts
Fonts were a lot easier than I thought they would be. The type tool is very useful for adding text to the bottom of pictures. This could be anywhere from a Title to a Caption. The effects that you can add to the texts can also make a cool effects, like if you were doing a picture of nature, your text could be from an image that is very similar or even the complete opposite to show comparison. My favorite effect from above is probably the spaced out and twisted because it looks like it is wrapped around something, like 3D.

Pauly D and Johnny Bravo Mixture!!!!
As unrealistic as this picture looks, I think that it is the best that could be done to make this picture. The reason I mixed these two people is because of their unique hair style in that both wear it STRAIGHT up. The hardest part of this project was the torso, because i had to make the chest HUGE while maintaining the detail in the shirt and also the lower torso.

 BEFORE                                                    AFTER

I felt successful with both of these retouches. The biggest difference in both the pictures is how the skin looks smoother and has less blemishes. I also brightened up the eyes and lips to make them "pop" more. If I were to redo the second piece, I would try to add more color to her skin, and more brightness to her eyes, and with the first piece just add more brightness to her eyes. Also on the first piece I would change a little bit of her hairline to make it more on point and not so "loose".

Movie With Spinning Man/Woman
This is a movie that me made in the past week that we took over 200 pictures to make. We incorporated everyone in the video which made it really great.
Blemish Girl

This is an interesting project because it shows how major corporations make their models look better. I thought it would be harder than it was, because it wasn't really hard, just time consuming.

Walk Cycle
The walk cycle I made is composed of 4 drawings that I scanned in and put together to form a walk cycle. I wish I would have drawn 8 instead to make the walk cycle complete and smoother.

Gradient Shapes and Gradient Giraffe

These shapes are cool looking and it is cool what just a little gradient can do to make a concave looking shape. It was amazing how easy it was as well.

I like this giraffe because of the ease that it was just to add the color by making it black and white and then adding the gradient.

Angry Bird Newimal!!!

This Newimal is a mixture of a real bird and an Angry Bird head. I also copied the texture on the head to the body and then the white from the body to the white on the head. I like this piece because of the creativity.

Shinny Bottom Bannana

This piece was quite simple. The bannana was a JPEG from blackboard, and all that was done was add "shinnyness" to the bottom. I do like this piece because of its simpleness and realistic qualities.

Keith Lyman Wakeboard

I like this picture a lot because I think that the "rasta" colors go well with the wakeboarding. I like the fact the the rope handle shows up through the picture to give more of a wakeboarding feel to the picture and because I added a little darkness to the wakeboard  you can see most of the board and some design, and that added a lot of character.

Aye-Aye Paint Splatter

I wasn't as happy with this piece because I don't think the paint went on as clearly as I thought it would on the Aye-Aye. I think if I had used and animal with less fur and skin instead it would look more like the paint is on the animal.

Tiger Out of Frame

I feel that this piece is creative and unique but I feel like it doesnt look as realistic as I would have liked it to. The tiger does look like its coming out of the frame, but the bacckround is not my favorite, but the best that I could find. What i learned from this piece is how to use the dodge tool because it helped make the tiger look that much more realistic.

Angry Pancake and Frog Tongue!!!!

The angry pancake was my first project and I liked it a ton because it contained lots of new information of how to use Photoshop. I felt successful because of this piece because it was my first project and it came out a lot better than i expected.
